p.s.

if you read this. let me know!
post comments on things. or email me. I am curious to know what others think. and that is what blogging is all about right? but i am in no way famous. and i dont know how people will find this blog. so if you do, will you please say so.

hello hello.

hello to anyone who might be reading this.
A brief introduction to me.
A) I don't know why i am doing this.

B) My favorite artist of all is Carson Ellis.
Why? Because she uses minimal lines, to establish concrete ideas. And she has this style that is uglybeautiful. oh there is a lot about carson ellis that i love.

C) Things that inspire me:

New Bedford, MA: If you get a chance, you should go. It is deceiving, it seems like there is nothing there, but artistically, especially in winter...it is a fun place to be. They have cobble stones which can be tricky but captivating.

Russian art: I kind of stole this from Carson Ellis. But upon doing a whole overly large history paper on Russian art. I have a new found respect. especially for the realist era, which came after a long period of "frou frou" Russian art, where they painted these picture perfect scenes you could never find. The forester is wonderful. Also a village funeral has a lot of emotion.

Winter on cape cod: is dead. especially compared to the summer. something i enjoy

Ms. Cope: My last year art teacher. Big inspiration. She is from Montana, which only brought my that much closer to the west where one day i will reside.

Indians: that was not PC. thanks to my mother, i have had a life full of herbal remedies and Native American philosophies, which i am growing to enjoy the older i get. But the idea of living that simply, and buffalo, using the whole animal. not owning land.

Westward pioneers: calico prints, little house on the prairie. farming

the ocean: i love you.

And waldorf.
I am very proud to have a waldorf education. it has presented me with something i would never have gotten otherwise. I have close friends, knitting skills, cross stitching skills, bean bag skills, i can play 3 recorders and draw one hell of a decorative border. all because i went to a waldorf school. I also know how to milk a cow, juggle scarves and "B-B-B-Bake the bread" in eurithmy (which i didn't spell right) which i am sure means nothing to anyone who doesn't know what waldorf is. but then you should look into what waldorf is and what it means. because it means a lot. a lot more then just no tv, and healthy eating. and a lot more then having the same teacher from 1st-8th grade. my waldorf education, which showed me gnomes and poetry, and plays constantly inspires me. i think about the world differently.
